By accessing and using Audio Toolbox API ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Service Description

Overview of Audio Toolbox API services and capabilities

Audio Toolbox API provides audio processing services through web interface and API endpoints. The Service allows users to:

Process audio files (denoise, normalize, convert, trim, analyze)
Generate visual representations (waveforms, audiograms)
Access services anonymously for testing purposes
Integrate via RapidAPI for production use

3. Data Processing & Privacy (GDPR Compliant)

3.1 Data Collection

We collect and process minimal data necessary for service operation:

Uploaded audio files (temporarily)
Anonymous session identifiers
Basic usage analytics (requests count, processing types)
IP addresses for rate limiting only

3.2 Data Storage & Retention

During Processing: Source files are stored in temporary blob storage assigned to your anonymous user session only for the duration of processing.

After Processing: Source files are automatically deleted immediately after task completion (successful or failed).

Processed Files: Result files are available for download for 30 minutes, then automatically deleted.

No Backups: We do not create copies, backups, or archives of your files.

3.3 Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Access: Request information about data we process
Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
Erasure: Request deletion of your data (automatic after 30 minutes)
Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
Object: Object to data processing
Withdraw Consent: Stop using the service at any time

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

HTTPS encryption for all data transfers
Isolated temporary storage per user session
Automatic data deletion after processing
No persistent storage of audio files

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

Upload copyrighted content without authorization
Process illegal or harmful content
Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
Perform automated scraping or abuse the anonymous tier
Upload files containing malware or viruses
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Service Limitations

Free Tier (Anonymous) Limits:

2 requests per minute per IP address (burst protection)
20 requests per day per IP address
5MB maximum file size
60 seconds maximum audio duration
Results available for 30 minutes
100MB total storage per user
Latest 3 files visible in task listings

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to audio files you upload. By using the Service, you grant us temporary permission to process your files solely for the purpose of providing the requested service.

Our Service: The Audio Toolbox API service, including its code, design, and documentation, is owned by PATRYKITI Patryk Ciechański and protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies and tracking:

Session Cookie: Anonymous user identification (expires after session)
Preferences: Theme selection (light/dark mode)
Analytics: Basic usage statistics (no personal data)

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising networks.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We are not liable for:

Loss of data or files
Service interruptions or downtime
Processing errors or quality issues
Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the Service in the last 12 months (€0 for free tier users).

10. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

RapidAPI: For paid tier API distribution
Cloud Storage: Temporary file storage (Azure Blob Storage)
Hosting: Service infrastructure (Render.com)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy and terms of service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and Poland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Poland.
